This school has Ten governors who act on behalf of St Luke's for Thrive CE Academy Trust. The Local Governing Board (LGB) of St Luke's CE Primary School has clearly defined responsibilities and is accountable to the Trust Board of the Thrive CE Academy Trust.
The Head Teacher is a governor because of his role. He attends the meetings and prepares reports for the governors.
St Luke's CE Primary School is a church school, the Parochial Church Council (PCC) of the church nominate some of our governors, in order that the faith foundation of our school is firmly upheld. We also have a number of community governors. The PCC nominations
have to be ratified and approved by the Members of the Trust, who have the controlling interest. For more information on the Members please see the Academy Trust page on this website.
This school has two parent governors both of whom are elected by all the parents.
This school on occasions also has associate members in order to ensure succession planning is rigorous. All our Governors have enhanced DBS checks.
This governing body meets three times each year (once a term).
