Nursery & Reception Admissions

Every September we welcome 26 children into our nursery class. Pupils are admitted in the September of the academic year in which they turn four. We also welcome 60 children into our reception class. Pupils are admitted in the September of the academic year in which they turn five.

Nursery and Reception applications for a place at St Luke's CE Primary School are made via Salford City Council. Salford run an online application system which can be found using the links at the bottom of the page.

If you wish to apply for a place for any other class please contact the school admissions team at Salford City Council.

In-year admissions are also co-ordinated by the local authority, please apply by following the links below.


Application Procedures

In order to apply for a place at St Luke's CE Primary you need to apply through Salford Local Authority’s coordinated admissions Family Portal, or collect an application form from your Gateway Centre or School.

As an academy, we have control of our own admissions but have chosen to remain with Salford Local Authority. Our policy, as determined by Salford City Council is available to download.

Priority will be given to children living nearest to the school.

Appeals Process

If you're unhappy with the school your child was offered and would like to appeal, you can do so via Salford City Council school appeals. All the information is available on their website along with the appeal form to complete and deadlines for makign an appeal.
